In Bloom Counseling

About

I'm Mary Anne Albanese, M.Ed., LPCC-S. What those letters after my name mean is that I have a Master's in Counseling, I'm licensed in the state of Ohio as an independent counselor and I can supervise new counselors.  What those letters don't tell you is what my personality is like and how I 'show up' as a counselor.  As a therapist, I am professional, welcoming, positive and, at times, fun. I am also experienced and skilled. I have been a counselor since 1998 and I have worked in a variety of settings before I decided to open my own private practice.

My goal as a therapist is to provide you with the tools ('practices,' I call them) to help you create the life you want.  Most people come to counseling because they are in pain, so the first goal is to help you reduce the pain you are experiencing.  The next steps will be to take those practices to help you create true and lasting happiness in your life.

I work individually with children, teens, and adults, however I work a great deal with  couples to assist them in resolving their resentments and providing them tools to move forward positively in their relationships.
